During the last three months I've built a brand new PC:
Main board: Asus P5GD2 Deluxe Hovedkort S775
Graphic card: PowerColor Radeon X800XL 256MB
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 540J 3.2 GHz
Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 200GB
Unfortunately I've some serious problems when it comes to the shut down part of Windows XP Pro. When I try to shut down the computer, the following happens:
* Windows closes all open programs, but restarts the computer
* Windows closes all open programs, but doesn't manage to close Windows XP. If I try to shut down the computer again, it works
* Windows doesn't close any programs, and it's impossible to turn off the computer
I had the same problem with my old PC, but didn't find out what caused the problem. I thought the problem would disappear with my new PC, but that's not a fact.
Any suggestions what I can do to solve this problem? I have really no idea what causes this - and of course ask if you need more information
