mp3 transfer troubles
Hi - So I got a new Dell with XP home preinstalled. I still have my old HP with 98se. I have a large MP3 collection on my HP, and I use Musicmatch for everything. It works great with my old SBLive mP3+ sound card. I backed up my MP3's to Data CD's and I have started copying/pasting to my new Dell. The problem is that when I click to play the copied files I hear a small, but annoying start-up scratch or click with all the copied files. This also happens to files that I rip to my Dell directly from factory CD's. Dell help told me to download Service pack 1, which didn't help. I've narrowed it to 3 possibilities: 1) it's an XP issue, 2) it's Dell isssue, 3) it's a sound card issue.
Has anybody out there had a similar issue? Any suggestions.
