Another no sound issue
Hey guys, Ive searched every no sound problem out there and still have no luck with my issue... I recently bought a new motherboard (Foxconn650M02-G-6L microATX) IT has the SiS650GX + 962 chipset, My main issue with this is after I installed windows xp home, I installed all the drivers in the order it was instructed. I used the CD that came with the motherboard. So after I got done installing the 5.1 channel AC97 (Realtek) audio driver and plugged in my speakers, there was absolutely no sound coming out of it. I tried headphones, and other speakers around the house to insure it was just my speakers but they did not work either. I went to my motherboards website and it had drivers there, I used those, and still nothing, my drivers are up to date as of 2/16/05. I am sure they are hooked up right and I went to the application that came with the drivers and it said everything was fine. Here's a list of what is in my Sound, Video and game controllers setup in Hardware configurations: Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Capture Devices, Media Control Devices, Realtek AC'97 Audio, Video Codecs.
I tried uninstalling the Legacy drivers to see what happens, but there is no option, and my manual says nothing about this driver. It only mentions AC97.
If anyone could please help me with this frustrating delima, it would be much appreciated. I also have a seperate sound card that I ordered, but I don't want to use it till I figure this out. Im OC! THANKS!
