Win XP Client with Win2000 Server
Has anyone seen a lag in access to the network on Win XP client machines in a Win 2000 Server domain environment and if so do you know a fix for it ? Symptoms include a message box appearing titled "Populating domain list" when logging on to the domain for the first time, logon time taking 10 minutes when on a 2000/9x machine in the same place takes seconds, up to 10 minutes to copy sizable data (800 MB +) across the network when on a 2000 machine it takes seconds. Have checked the M$ knowledgebase site with not a lot of luck. Thanks. . .
