Radeon 9200SE problems

Hi guys, newbie here.

I am having problems with my monitor. Its an Elonex 15" tft, im using an Asus Radeon 9200se graphics card.

When i plug the tft monitor into my pc all I get is my desktop flashing on and off. If i switch back to my crt (which ive had for a fwe years) it works fine. Ive tried changing the refresh rate from 75mhz to 60mhz but that doesnt change anything.

I think that maybe i need to update my drivers but i dont know which ones to download, or where from (im a bit dumb at that sort of thing). However, my graphics card is only 10 months old so maybe that isnt the problem.

Can anyone shed some light on the situation...

What resolution are you using? A TFT needs the resolution set at 1024 X 768 or higher; refresh at 60, 70 or 75.

I doubt it's the video card drivers, more than likely its the monitor's drivers. Did you install the monitors drivers??? TFT monitors need drivers to function properly. It should have come with a CD to install them. Another thing, when you go to the Display settings does it say something like Name of Monitor on Radeon 9200se, or does it say Plug n Play Monitor on Radeon 9200se? if it is the latter then you have to set up the monitor so it functions. In addition your resolution should be at lest 1024 by 768 as stated by Miz.

The drivers to download are the Catalyst drivers, for Radeon.
