Audio ripping from videos

I know people must be getting tired of my stupid questions but I really appreciate all you guys do ^_^. Anyway, I was wondering how to pull the audio from an mpeg file so that I could burn it on a cd. Thanks in advance!

Ok i dont know if this is the best way but it works well. You will a cable that can connect to your speaker socket and the other end connects to your mic socket, so basically both ends of the cable have the same connector. I dont know the techi term for this type of cable but i'm sure you know what i mean.

Ok you will need soundforge/nero or something like this to copy the sound into. Now this is what your doing, your playing your mpg out through the cable and playing it into the mic. So when you are recording you should get the audio. You might need to mess about with your computers sound levels to get it perfect and reduce distortion. Do a few test runs to get the sound levels right!

I hope this is what you was after.

if you have or can find a copy of mgi videowave, you can find version 3 in the $10 bin at staples or something, it will do what you need. just pipe in the file, click the audio tab, and save the file to whatever format you want(.wav, .mp3, .wmp), and burn away.
