Install MS Office 97 on Windows XP Machine

Can I install MS Office 97 on my new Windows XP machine? I just got a new Dell machine with Windows XP Home edition. My old computer had Windows 98SE with MS Office 97 installed. I have the original CD's for office 97, and I want to install it on my new machine. Can it be done? Also, Can I then buy the upgrade for MS Office 2000? Or do I have to buy MS Office XP if I want to upgrade my MS Office version?

Office '97 should work fine under XP. Take a look on Microsoft's website for any available upgrades.
