Help bypassing restrictions on my school network

Hi, sorry if i'm in the wrong forum, but i need help. My school network restricts a lot of things and i am looking for a way to get around this. I have tried to configure IE to use another http proxy but i can't get into internet options. It gives me an error message saying 'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on your computer.'

Can anyone tell me how to get into internet options or another way to bypass the website restrictions?

You could try asking your teacher

your IT dept has placed restrictions on your machine to stop exactly what you are trying to do. The only way to change these settings is to logon as System Admin, which I'm guessing you have no hope of doing and i'm also guessing Sys Admin isn't going to tell you the password so basically, you're screwed

I just accidentally found a site that discribed how to bypass restrictions yesterday. I'm sorry I can't give you the add. because it was of no interest to me, but I guess the info is out there. I believe I used Google or MSN and did a search for "error code 0000008e" and found it accidentally. Like the other member's reply saying you need admin level, I believe is true. I don't know if you find this bypass if it will work.

My best suggestion would be to go to a internet cafe. Pay a few bucks.
