Can j just delete entries from registry manually?

Hello.
Some time ago I had serious problems with Internet Explorer, as it was corrupted by spyware, luckily with help of nice people problem was completely solved, but still two strange services remained in services list. Both are on disabled state but I would like to kick them out from there. Names are quite strange, one is shjdsqzzfael going to C:\WINDOWS\system32\edurqqjl6.exe and the other is sqwyqaugzjyi going to C:\WINDOWS\System32\msupd6.exe
Again, these services are dead after the cleanup I think, disabled, but what can I do to eliminate these 2 stupid entries from services list?
Can I just scan registry manually for these names and kick out? Will that harm Internet Explorer again?
Thank you.

If you're sure these were unwanted programs you can search the registry for shjdsqzzfael, edurqqjl6.exe, sqwyqaugzjyi, and msupd6.exe. Delete any entries you find with these exact names. I would back up the registry first but I would still feel pretty safe removing these entries.

Before you touch the registry, fully back it up. The best way to do that is with ERUNT. You can get it from here: http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt .
