windows startup issue

Hi,
I have an annoying problem with XP. Basically after I startup, about 5 mins into the session the help and support screen appears, saying "windows cant display this information". This is a minor problem but it means whatever I'm running has to minimise. I've disabled help and support but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
