c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\ie.exe in not a valid Win32 application

When I click on the 'e' in the start menu I get an error message: c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\ie.exe in not a valid Win32 application.
I don't really know much about computers. What kind of system info do I need to give and where do I find it? Please help.

I know this is a relatively old thread, but are you still having the problem? If so, try right-clicking on the "e" icon, going to Properties, click Find Target and then click Browse. And then paste:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
into the box and press enter. As you can see the current icon refers to ie.exe it should be to iexplorer.exe.
