Deleting pictures in the display properties for desktop...

Ok well the title might be confusing because i didnt know how to phrase it. But let me explain this. I want to delete some of the options for a desktop when you go into the properties for the desktop, i have so many things cluttering it up they just get in the way. So is there anyway to do that?

The Desktop tab in Display Properties list picture files (gif, jpg, bmp) that you can use as a background.

These pictures are in the My Pictures folder and Windows directory.

If there are too many items in the list and you don't want to delete your pictures, you could move them from My Pictures to another location. or, if you feel confident, do this:

start -> run -> "gpedit.msc" -> user configuration -> administrative templates -> desktop -> active desktop -> (double click) "Allow only bitmapped wallpaper" -> enable -> exit.

And only .bmp images will be listed under the desktop tab.
