Cannot start applications which opens in commandbox

When i try to run software which opens a command box to execute, the box opens, and then closes again. If I try to run the software by using cmd.exe, the box simply write "Cannot execute <<Filename>>". This prevents me from running a lot of applications such as the game FlatOut or Achtung Die Kurve. Please help.

Do you have the exact error, as there seems to be no link in your post to the error.
besides that you could try running the game in win98 compatibility mode, which you can access by rightclicking the exe selecting properties then clicking on the compatibility tab, then selecting Win95 ir 98 compatibility from the drop down box.

Maybe somebody else has another idea.

BTW, compatabilitymode doesn't work either. All the software works on some WinXP computers without configuring anything. Maybe I'm missing some file... ?

Kan ikke kjøre is norwegian for "Cannot execute", this is all the errors I get...

HEY!!! I just tried downloading Zatacka again, and now it works!!!

I simply unziped it to somewhere else than C:\Prografiler.... and i towrkes!!

I'll try doing the same with FlatOut..

It seems no commandboxsoftware wants to open inside C:\Programfiler.... Strange...

Not enitrely sorted out yet though... Why don't the software in C:\Programfiler work, but software in other folders do?
