Windows XP wont install

Hi newbie here, I have windows XP then I encountered the blue screen talking about a faulty driver. To fix this I tried to reinstall windows XP. Then in the install the blue screen comes up again. So the computer restarts and so does the setup but the blue screen comes up. So I went into the BIOS to change the boot up so that the computer runs from the CD drive and now it doesnt install XP. Please help me

Sounds to me like you're installing this on a older computer. If you are, did you run the windows XP compatibility program first to see if your hardware will work with XP? The faulty driver it is looking for may not be on the XP disk but one of the hardware manufacturers disk.
If the computer is much more then three years old XP probably won't install without some hardware upgrades.

I just tried to install windows XP and I recieved this error report "An unexpected error (268397120) occurred at line 1768 in d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\ardisp.c." A friend of mine thinks its a Virus but I am installing XP on a new hard drive

Sounds like a bad disk or a bad drive.

Also remove EVERYTHING that you can. Leave only the CDROM, RAM, VID CARD.

Set BIOS to a safe, stable setting.
