Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth

Hi,

I am not even sure this is a USB problem but I am out of ideas. I have a Fujitsu laptop running Windows XP Home Edition with SP 2. I also have 3 SiS 7001 PCI to USB Host Controllers and 1 PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller. For Bluetooth, I use Microsoft Transceiver dongle with Microsoft Bluetooth stack. The problem. I am trying to install Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth. I go through normal installation procedures in the Bluetooth Devices window. In it, I can see how the mouse is being detected. However, when I click finish, the USB does not report that a new hardware is being installed (it easily detects my wired mouse when I plug it in). The cursor is not moving also. While the Bluetooth Devices window is open, I can see the mouse there, but once I close and reopen the window, the mouse is not there anymore. If I go through the installation procedure again, the mouse is being detected as a new device. It almost looks like the mouse is being connected for a second but it cannot hold its connection. I have to note that I can connect my cell phone via the same Bluetooth with no problem, so I know the Bluetooth stack is fine. As for the mouse, I can connect it to my other laptop without any problems, so it functions just fine. I would appreciate any ideas.

does this plug into your USB port... how many USB devices do you have plugged in. and what Spec is it supposed to run at USB1.1 or USB2.0 One thing you may need to check is for updated drivers for the device or for your hardware.
