window not opening

OK, first off, I suck when it comes to compters; my knowledge is limited, but I can navigate through most of the mess that is Microsft windows XP. But I'm baffled by one specific problem. You guys helped me fix that search companion stupidity, so I'm hopeful.

Here's the situation, when I visit certain sites that need me to fill in some info; when I click on the submit button nothing happens. Now I figure that this must have something to do with my pop-up blocker software, so I turned them all off; still nothing. I figured maybe the website is not working so I try it on the other computer and it works. I tried the sites (because it happens on more than one) using netscape, IE, and MSN Explorer- same results.

Anyone have any ideas on what ails me and how it can be fixed?
