(JIT) just in time debug errors in IE?

hi, I've searched Microsofts knowledgebase to find the answer to a problem i'm having which is basically that this annoying "JUST IN TIME DEBUGGING" option comes up either when I close my Internet Explorer browser or when I search pages. I hit the "close" option and more times then not the JIT box comes back up numerous times. It's really annoying and just started out of the blue for no apparent reason. I have all the latest windows updates which of course includes SP2, but i've had SP2 since it was released and this issue is brand new.

Any help with how I can prevent that annoying Just in Time Debugging message from appearing again would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if its relevant in your case - but you might this :

In IE click Tools (at the top) > click Internet Options > Advanced tab > look under the heading 'Browsing' for a 'Disable Script Debugging' - make sure the box is checked / ticked. Underneath that see the 'Display a Notification ....' - make sure that box is unchecked - lastly click OK.

If its the error box that once used to appear while I was surfing, its related to poor scripting on certain websites - not your IE.

-------------------------------

As an additional though unrelated thing - as outlined above under Browsing - look for two boxes marked Enable Install on Demand (IE and Other.) Make sure these are unchecked also. If you clear these two boxes you may well save yourself the headache of unwittingly downloading those well known dialers that rack up your phone bills. In future you would instead get a prompt box asking if you want to d/load ... allowing you the option to decline.

Though you may be on Cable or DSL, there are new versions that can still exploit your connection.

-------------------------------

Post back in case other people have further suggestions.
