a network cable is unplugged message

My computer is connected to a ADSL HUB using netowrk cable. I keep getting "a network cable is unplugged" message and it occurs when im not connected to the internet ( ADSL modem is not connected to the net ), and also when im connected to the internet too.

I cant find the network icon in the system tray. It pops up when it says a network cable is unplugged message and then disappear.

I lost connection totally when a network cable is unplugged message pops up.

is there a way that i can repair that ? or check the connection ?

Could anyone please help me with solution.

Hi,

Go Start > Control Panel > look for the icon for Network Connection / My Network Places ... open that and then find the icon for your DSL > right click and try the Repair option.

i have the same problem with my toshiba laptop (see below for specs) turns out i just had to sebd it bak to toshiba and they fixed it for me, i had a loose socket on my laptop.
