Windows XP 64bit Question

Alright, I recently obtained Windows XP 64 bit beta edition copy and I have a few questions. Currently, im running an AMD Athlon 2400+, 1GB ram, Geforce4 MX420 graphics card, I will be updating my computer (on saturday) to a AMD Athlon 64 3000, Nvidia GeForce NX6600 GT-VTD 128mb, still 1GB ram.

Heres my question, is it worth it to install the Windows XP 64 bit edition over my regular copy of XP? I've been doing research about faster capabilites with rendering of 3d animation and video editing as well as gaming. But is it really worth it? All of my native 32bit apps will work, but I don't know whether I should upgrade/install all of my applications on this computer, wait untill mid 2005, then reinstall all of my apps when and if I install the official release of the 64 bit edition.

yes I would wait, for the apps to truly take advantage of the 64 bit OS they have to be programed for it. I think Farcry is but not many other games or apps are. Think this will change soon though. but if you want to try why not dualboot? I think that would be a better choise as its beta. maybe the drivers for your hardware etc aint that stable yet.
