very long logout

I have XP Home. I did not have any problems logging off before I installed ServicePack1. Now it takes 3.5 min to shut down the computer. What can I do to speed it up?

I have WaitToKillServiceTimeout set to 200 in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control.
It worked well before ServicePack1 was installed.

disabling services could help. under MSconfig
