Help with uninstalling java & reinstalling it please?

Can anyone help with uninstalling java & reinstalling it please? I've been trying to view java charts on a website & just getting a blank grey screen. They told me to clear temp internet files & reboot. That didn't work, so they told me to uninstall java, then reinstall. I thought it was a programming language. Anyway I ran a search and it came up with 11 results, all with java in the name, but none more than 15kb. None are in the 'all programs' window.

Did you ever download the JRE? (Java Runtime Environment) and install it?

Can you check for a JAVA VIRTUAL MACHINE option in Internet Explorer then?

Open IE, TOOLS >> Internet Options >> Advance Tab

Uncheck Java Virtual Machine

Restart your PC

Then go here to download the Java Runtime Environment.
