xp pro repair problem

xp pro repair problem

Hi all ive just decided to do a repair install on my sons pc after getting several problems the repair starts of fine and then says ( the asms file on windows xp pro service pack 2 is needed please insert the disc and press ok )
i am using a slipstream xp pro with sp2 on it but this does not get recognised
can anybody help please as it is getting close to a format.

You may try to delete this file...I think this is the way....

delete what file could you please be more precise if you mean the asms file could you please tell me how many thanks.

I try to search for solution for this becouse ASMS is a whole DIR!?!?
Here you can read about this error. It's for win XP CD but is the same as Win XP SP2 CD...I think that the error is in your CD!!!(may be not correctly burned)
