Can't log on

recently found this site and i figured it would be a good place to ask.....

a couple of months ago, i installed Norton Internet Security 2004. everything worked fine and i was able to install and scan my computer before i went to bed. the next day, my dad rebooted my computer and was unable to log on to his profile (when he clicked it it would bring up his wallpaper, nothing else, and instantly log him off) after experimenting, i found that all acc's were the same and i could no longer use my comp.

nortons service center requires $50 to call, so we tryed the online service center which takes a full week to respond and is usualy a canned responce saying "go to start then blaa blaa blaa" which i am unalble to do because i CAN'T LOG ON.

i'm tempted to just wipe my harddrive and just reinstall windows but i don't want to lose all my files (and i don't know where my reformat disc is)
i do however have access to DOS

any help would be appreciated

Try booting in Safe Mode and creating a new user and then do a normal boot and try logging on to that user. Hope this helps.
