Windows Update

I keep Windows Update switched on for each machine on my small network. Problem is that we have severe bandwidth restrictions and each machine goes out to the internet to pick up the same update and thereby wasting our precious bandwidth (which is capped on a monthly basis). We only need one machine to pick up the update and save it on the network and all other machines to update from there.

Is this possible? If so, any URLs which will give me more info on this.

We have a mixture of XP pro and home on the network.

Many thanks.

If bandwidth usage is that important to your network then you should through the list of critical update on this site and download it one at a time:

http://www.microsoft.com/security/bu...4_windows.mspx

Down side to this is that you have to reboot everytime you apply one of the patches (they used to have tools for servers where you only had to reboot once but I don't recall the name of the file)

Cheers

Many thanks for your help.
