Outlook express trouble

I have a compaq Presario 6000 with XP Home Edition, AMD XP 2000+
1.67 GHz, 224 MB Ram
Outlook express is my default email. I get approx 200 replies daily mostly saying Mail delivery subsyst...Delivery failure. Also ALFX Postmaster..Delivery failure. Norton says no virus. Isp says, DUH, Other so called professionals say MY email is being used by others with no answer to help. Is the only option to change my address name? willing to accept help!

Can you not just set up an additional account through outlook to see if the problem is eminating from your machine. It sounds like a virus to me! I've see that same type of problem (caused by a virus), where by countless emails were sent from the machine through out the day. Because the virus was generating bogus addresses, many would simply be returned as "undeliverable".

The only sure way to check your system is to scan the hard disk from another machine.

That is a historic and very common fault with Outlook Express. Virus mails itself out to your contacts via Outlook.

Best thing to do is forget about Outlook Express. Thunderbird, Opera browser, Mozilla suite, Pegasus, Phoenix, and Foxmail are all good replacements.
