"My Documents" Is No More?

I've no idea what's happened...

From Day 1 of using XP everything has been running fine, and then I believe my PC was shutdown incorrectly, altho I can't be sure...

Anyway, the point is I turned my PC on, and every piece of data in the My Documents folder has disappeared, I am just left with the default My Music & My Pictures folders... also the customisation on my toolbar and Start Menu had disappeared... however, the space that these documents took up is still taken up, so I know they must still be there

Also, when I click on "My Computer" or open "Internet Explorer" up I get a message box too saying:

"Failure sinking events from IWebBrowser2"

But I click on OK, the box disappears and things run without trouble...

I'm stuck basically, so help would be much appreciated, I don't know... does anyone know what's happened here? Is there any way that I can retrieve the documents in the My Documents folder? What do I do!!!?????

Thanks... it appears to have solved the pop up box problem...

However, the "My Documents" data disappearin has still got me...

Any ideas?
