ODD Shortcut?

Ok i made a shortcut to my C: drive (needed it in xp)
Now when i double click the shortcut it comes up in search mode??
Also when i right click on the shortcut SEARCH is at the top of the menu.
Try it yourself! How can i change this or get rid of the search at the top of the menu, this is really distracting. Thanks
