Hi,

try to start in Safe Mode (without Network). If the option screen doesnt appear, press "F8" when the system starts. Then select safe mode. Once the safe mode is started (it takes some time until its started) try to restore the system. (Starts --> Programs --> Accesorries --> System Tools --> System Restorement. Select a previous day and let the PC restore all settings. Then try to start up the PC normally.

Regards,

If

If none of them works you should start to learn how to boot from CD and do a repair installation.

restart the system
press F8 and choose Use Last Known Good Configuration

when windows restarts, restart a couple more times ...

and remember to do a system backup or at least make a copy of your registry

Cheers again,

this is normal. You have a black background and you get row by row the following. Just let it run. It takes some time. Sooner or later the normal login screen appears. Then log in. Dont worry about the horrible screen solution. I guess it maybe takes up to 3 minutes. If then no login screen appears, then you only have the chance to boot from cd. Try the following link. If you cant boot from cd go to bootdisk.com and download the XP bootdisk.

Keep me updated with your successs.
