computer problems errors

ok ok, my computer has been stuffing up from an unknown problem and its pissing me off.
ok one problem i have is my computer speed. It has degraded alot in speed and is very slugish.. i have tried everything, got rid of spyware using the following..
Ad-aware, SB, Giant Antispyware, SpywareBlaster, there were lots of results, got rid of some stuff.. but still slow. VERY Slow when i connect the net, and try to disconncect (i have 56k).
Now anti-virus, i use Kaspersky AV run a full scan, its clean but still slow.

About disk defragment, i cant i get an error "Disk Defragemnt could not start."

please i need help

the easiest solution is to take a proper backup of your files. Make sure that you only backup files you know. Then install Windows new... Otherwise you always will suffer. Make sure that you also install an up to date Anti Virus (antivir XP for example is free of charge and very good). Prior to this you could also run E- Scan in safe mode to see if there are more viruses on your PC.
