What Norton product are we talking about here? Presumably, you have a network there? Correct? I need to have the specifics, jean, as you have hardly given me anything to go on.

What are you talking about???? What was who's request??? You mention that you cannot update?? Have you tried clicking on "Live Update" within the program itself? (I think that's what Norton call it). Any error messages when you try "Live Update"? Why would you be trying to access the Symantec shared folder and in the next breath say, "cannot update Symantec??
To be perfectly honest with you jean, I still think this is a Norton/Symantec issue and not an XP issue. However, I await your reply.
