MSO97FX.DLL "open with" error after install office xp on NT4 WS

HI everyone
I'm a newbie to this forum.
I have installed Office XP on all my NT4 sp6 workstations, with admin rights for a "staff group" while installing, and all was OK for staff menber logons. When I logged on a workstation as a member of the student group, I recieved a dialog about how i would like to open the file "MSO97FX.DLL"
the dialogue was the usuall one window offers if it dont know an association. Any sugesstions would be brill !
