Problem accessing hard disk from limited account
Hello Friends,
I use Windows XP Professional. I have two accounts on this machine, one of course is the administrator account and another a limited account, both with passwords. Both were working fine, untill recently. Now I am anable to access hard drive, or any drive for that matter via "My Computer". When I click on "my computer", I get the wait sign, and after about 20 seconds the desktop sort of refreshes (all icons go off for a few seconds and reappear). Thats all. I dont get "my computer" window.
I tried accessing various drives through command prompt and I have no problem there.
I gave this limited account admisnitrative preveliges, and now I could open "my computer" without any problem. But when I changed it back to limited account, the problem returns.
I opened a new limited account, just to see, and the same problems occurs with this account too.
Let me mention that all the accounts were opened with default previleges, and I did not make any changes to access settings.
