My Audio Device.......HELP!!!

Ok heres my sad, sad story:

recently i needed to get my computer fixed because i needed a new power supply, when i got my computer back my i couldnt get any sound (in other words when i checked out the control panel it had said i had no audio device.) when i tried the troubleshooter and it told me to uninstall and reinstall, i first uninstalled it but i couldnt find the hardware on my computer to reinstall it.

the sound card that i have but is NOT showing up on my computer is the SoundMax Audio

Can somebody help me on how to get my sound back

do you have the original drivers? if not download the latest drivers for your soundcard, and install them, after a reboot your soundcard should work just fine

where could i download the latest drivers for a soundmax sound card/

ALSO,

when i had the sound card it had said the device cannot start {Code 10}

could that be a clue to wat my problem is?

i just think it was never installed the right way

dunno if they are the right for your soundmax, so i think the first thing you should do is check this:

maybe this will help, is the soundmax onboard? if so the drivers should be on the cdrom you got with mb files
