Default directory listing order

Didja ever have a day where ya couldn't do anything but bang on the keyboard? I DID. But in my fit of rage, it seems i hit a keystroke sequence that has forever changed the way my directory listings show.

Dircetories and files now sort in "Reverse" order eg: from z to a and 999 to 1

How can i fix this?

Please note: This does NOT occurr when i open windows explorer. Only when i choose "Open" from within applications.

I JUST noticed that this is happening only in NON-MICROSOFT applications. For instance, if i use "Open" in MS Word, the listings are fine. But if i choose "Open" in Adobe Acrobat, they are reversed.

In one of the programs affected, go to File>Open. In the upper right-hand are four icons...when you hover the cursor over each they will indicate what they are. You want to click on the one on the far right, the "View" icon.

If "Details" isn't checked, check it.

One of the column headers will have a tiny arrowhead next to it. That's the column that's being used to sort the files. The "Name" column probably has the arrow.

Then click on the header at the top of the "Name" column. That will reverse that column's sort order.

That works fine on a "ONE TIME" basis, but does not solve the problem. I NEED to change the "DEFAULT" ordering. I work at my computer litterally all day long. So my goal is to "reduce" keystrokes, not add.
