Removing 1 OS and keeping another
I am setting up a 2nd machine in my home office (2.5GHz Celeron) and it was a "server" operating 10 clients in a business environment about a year ago. It has 2 OS's loaded on it (XP Pro and 2000 Pro). At the startup in BIOS it asks me which to choose. I have been selecting XP Pro but there is a problem with the software, I think it's corrupt. It freezes all the time, and wont run the games I want to play. I have run Ad Aware, Spybot, and Virus scans, not to mention scan disk and defrag....with no avail. This was my computer from the time it was new, so I know where its been.
When I use 2000 Pro, it runs much smoother, no problems....so I want to utilize 2000 pro as my OS on this PC. How can I format the C drive to tell it to just remove the XP partition without removing everything? I don't have the OS software anymore, lost it in a move, so I can just delete it all and reboot the OS....surely there has to be a way to remove XP Pro? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
