Thumbs down problems after reinstall, very annoying

Ok im running a Fujitsu Amilo A1630 laptop. Its AMD 64 3400+, 1 gig ram, dvd writer, ATI Radeon 9700.(its not on that page because i brought it last year).

A few weeks ago i did a full system reinstall beacause of all the clutter i accumulated since i got it. I used the recovery CD that came with my laptop(i backed up all my files on DVDs) to do it. All the software that came with my laptop like nero and windvd and so on were already on the laptop when i first got it or rather their installers were, so it was just a case of clicking on them and they were installed from the hard disc. When i did the system reinstall they werent there but thankfully i got discs with it so i installed them from there, but i still wonder if i can get the installers back onto my HDD for the future just in case i lose the discs.

On a more serious note it seems that the only driver it seemed to restore was the mouse one. I use an external wireless mouse(microsoft) which works fine but my simple external keyboard(belkin) refuses to install. It didnt come with a driver cd and i cant find it on their website. My flash drive works good but any other flash drives(my friends) refuse to work, even when i installed the drivers. It doesnt recognise my camera automatically like it did before. My scanner refuse to work proparly, i have to use the miscrosoft document scanning wizard, i can only scan in black and white and i have to restart my computer every time i want to scan a new image(which is crazy). I had problems with my printer but i got that sorted.

I dont have sp2 and i dont want it cos when i installed it, it slowed my system down and im a bit of a peformance nut. Anyone know what i can do, is there any generic driver file with all drivers that ship with windows xp that i can install from(i tried on the microsoft website but couldnt find anything). Or anyone got any other solutions. Thank you

If you're a performance nut...did you disable some services? The reason I ask is I saw similar symptoms with my camera and other pnp devices after I got a little crazy disabling services.

did u use the recovery cd that came with the laptop to reinstall windows? In case u did so,that means u didn't format the system drive and then reinstall but u straight away ran the recovery cd.As far as I know, the recovery cds that come with company pcs restore the entire system to the post factory settings. So they also format all the drives. This is the thing that happened to u as far as I can guess
