I am having the same problem with my Multimedia Audio Controller.
When I went to devices there was a yellow question mark. I installed the Realtek AC'97. It does not work.
My system is
Ei 4411
Intel Celeron processor 2.4GHz.
Would anyone please suggest me.

I lost deleted my driver also.
I was cleaning files when I carelessly deleted my sounds device. I need help here is all the information about my computer. One problem is when I find certain drivers they say my hardware wont let it down load. Somebody please help

hi all, i have formatted and reinstalled the OS since i got the multimedia audio controller problem. i have read some tips some this forum and i still cant get the problem solved and i have no sound frm my pc even the yellow mark disappear frm device manager.
i have tried ac 97 and sound max and im using the usb speaker

Ths is the Soundmax driver from Asus http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us
check that Soundmax is default driver
Go to Control Panel / Sound & Audio Devices / Audio tab / Sound Playback – click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.
Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply > click Start > Reboot.
Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

No Audio Devices apparently, please help!
I'm also having sound problems, tried everything now it's doing my head-in after 3 days at it .. lol .. been to Foxconn but dont know if I'm downloading the wrong things, problem started after reinstalling XP

I TOO have the same yellow exclamation mark on my multimedia audio controller. i have had xp reinstalled and don't know what i have to download to rectify. can you please help bookworm..
