Hi guys and a special hello to bookworm. I've read through this topic and you've performed quite a few miracles already. I hope it's not too much trouble if you could help me out with one more.

I recently formatted my computer and after re-installing Windows XP, I couldn't get any sound to play through my speakers. I ran the Belarc program on my computer and the results are posted below.

I've downloaded a whole bunch of different Realtek driver files and whenever I try to install them, my computer either restarts or won't allow me to install it because I don't have Service Pack 1.

If it's too jumbled up I can try to post a screen capture of the actual report.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

Belarc

Just an update, I tried installing the Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver from Microsoft but it still didn't play sounds.

At least this one asked me to restart the computer instead of just flashing the screen black and automatically restarting like the other drivers I tried.

I'll keep on fighting though.

[quote=XPhater]Hi guys and a special hello to bookworm.

Belarc
