First off: Hey
For some time now, I've been experiencing some problems with my taskbar during start-up. I'll try to explain as best I can:
My taskbar is placed at the bottom and I like having it double-sized. I.e. one size "higher" than the default "one line". However, on start-up, it resets itself to the default "one line" only, eventhough I've checked 'Lock taskbar' via the taskbar right-click menu.
I have also tried numerous registry hacks to prevent this ackward behaviour, for example:
Quote:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced] "TaskbarSizeMove"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer] "LockTaskbar"=dword:00000001
|
For the record, I have tried setting the registry values to both 0 and 1 (off and on), just to double-check.
But this has not resolved my issue. During the very first stages of windows loading my desktop, I can physically see that the taskbar is double sized, but as loading progresses I also see that it's resized back to it's "one lined state".
Does anyone know why the taskbar resets itself and what I can do to prevent it from doing so? I've made the same posts on other forums, but no one has been able to give a good explanation as to how and why.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
