Here is one more thing and I really should know this, but here it goes. I want a new folder like "My Documents" or "My Music" under start button, how do you make a new folder is this area. Thanks again.
(right click) Start > Properties > (choose) Start Menu > Customize > (choose) Advanced > put a check in the boxes that say "Display as a Link" for "My Documents", "My Music", etc.
Hi Jerry, to do this with the "classic" start menu is as easy as falling over. With windows explorer :
C: drive => Documents and settings =>all users => Start menu.
create a folder called "my music 2" or whatever and hey presto!
I don't know that it can be done with the normal XP start menu but hopefully some one can prove me wrong.
