Making a new folder under start

Here is one more thing and I really should know this, but here it goes. I want a new folder like "My Documents" or "My Music" under start button, how do you make a new folder is this area. Thanks again.

Actually

They are already there in XP. And another wonderful thing about XP is the programs you access most often, show up in there eventually.

Unless I am misunderstanding you about "under the start button" , where exactly you mean.

If they are not there now:

(right click) Start > Properties > (choose) Start Menu > Customize > (choose) Advanced > put a check in the boxes that say "Display as a Link" for "My Documents", "My Music", etc.

Sorry let me re-state, I want a new folder called "My Videos" that works just like "My Music" or "MY Pictures" so I want to create this folder. Thanks

This is EXACTLY what I'm trying to do.

I just want to add a "my music 2" folder under my music. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Jerry, to do this with the "classic" start menu is as easy as falling over. With windows explorer :
C: drive => Documents and settings =>all users => Start menu.

create a folder called "my music 2" or whatever and hey presto!

I don't know that it can be done with the normal XP start menu but hopefully some one can prove me wrong.

thanks for your help swoolgrove, but I'm afraid I'm using the XP menu. Hopefully there is a way though, seems it shouldnt be too hard....I hope

Can you rename 'My pictures' To 'My Video's'???
or do you want to keep my pictures?
