Administrator Password/boot.ini

Hello, im having problems booting up my computer & i was given an error stating boot.ini is invalid.. so i tried to enter my recovery console & im asked to enter the admin password. The password was never created,(blank) therefore i should be able to just press enter..... but it's not accepting it.. saying invalid password.. Are you supposed to hit enter for a blank password?

Somehow i was able to rebuild the boot.ini & now the computer keeps on rebooting on its own once it goes to load xp.. here is a copy of the file

[boot loader]
timeout=0
default=C:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

Ok. first of all. try using your login password to access the command console if that does not work and you have access to another computer you can download a floppy boot disk that will allow you to reset the password for any account on the local box.
you can find the software here. http://ebcd.pcministry.com/ i will not help with making it work as the site has a great deal of documentation to support it. I have used it many times on repair jobs. hope this helps out.

once you get to the recover console run the following commands..
bootcfg will scan and recreate the correct boot.ini file for you.
run chkdsk /F this will scann the hdd for errors and /F will fix errors found.
also do fixmbr this will scan your master boot record. If this dont fix your issue holla back.
