No sound on my comp

the sound on my computer is gone somthing happened one night and i dont have it anymore. I read the sound card and it said foxconn on it. Also dont have the cd's cause my parents dont know where they are plus I dont even know what this computer is the name is like hidden. But anyways i go to system and device manager and under sounds video and controller and no sound card comes up i also think the sound card is integraded. If you can help out that would be great.

Get Belarc Advisor here http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html (free) What does it show under System Model, Main Circuit Board and Multimedia from this we can find the sound driver.
Hope this helps

Ok JaredM if you need anything else just go to Intel Corporation site your system is a D845PESV, but your driver is an AC/97 and you can get it here http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...5&submit=Go%21 just look under Drivers to the intergrated driver
Hope this helps
