On board sound not working

Hi i just got a foxconn 645fx4mr-es main board. I have tried everything i can think of and Xp is not detecting the "6 channel on board sound". Please help.

I know you checked this but I have to ask.

Did you enable the onboard sound in bios? If it is enabled then I sugest you take your motherboard back.
