Question Double click / right click

Have just encountered this problem. This happens to all folders. When I double click on a folder, the window opens into the search function with the name of the folder in the space naming folder to be searched. In addition, when I right click on the same folder, the list appears with Search in bold letters at the top of the list. Open is about 5-6 lines down. If I click on the Open in this list, the folder opens normally. Any ideas on how to correct things? Any & all input is greatly appreciated.

Hi elgrandekazoo,

Let me just say this: Wow.

No matter how hard I tried to get my icons to mimic what you have achieved, I still cannot get it.

However, what I did do was I opened up a folder (not in a Search, but a regular 'open'). Click on "Tools" and "Folder Options".

Afterwards, the General Tab will comeup, click on "Restore Defaults" at the bottom. Click on the "View" tab and click on "Restore Defaults" again at the bottom. Click Apply, then close out of everything, restart your computer and see what happens!

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance

Thanks for the quick response. Printed out all of your instructions, did as told, problem still exists.
