might sound like a weird problem...

this is a problem caused entirely by myself that i was hoping someone could help me fix:

i recently installed the program "counter-strike" on my system, and while fiddling with some user-changable options in a file, i accidentally forgot to uncheck the "always use this program to open this type of file" box

now i cannot run the program because all of the related files are notepad only.

is there any way to fix this and get the files back to normal? i tried reinstalling the program but that isnt working...any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I've done this many times. In windows explorer right click a file you want to open with "counter-strike" and choose the option to "open with" and then "choose program", select or browse for the program you want to use and remember to check the "allways use box" and click OK. This should fix your problem.
