Unhappy Virus Help- NAV Isnt Helping

Recently, by accident, I downloaded a file which released a virus into my computer. I got NAV (Norton Anti-Virus) 2002 for XP and updated it to the latest Virus Definitions.
When I ran a full system scan, the NAV found the virus, but whenever it did, it restarted the computer, refusing to get rid of it. Even in Safe Mode, whenever it finds the virus, it restarts and doesnt delete it.
If anyone knows anything that can help me please say so, I am getting desperate. Ive checked the NAV site for help, ran Online checks succesfully, and even know what the virus is and where it is located.

Please give me feedback. The viruses I have are:
W32.Kbot.Worm
MIRC.lxd
Backdoor.Trojan

Help in anyway is appreciated.

I've been just reading up on your worm. Sounds nasty. Not much more I can say to add what Norton has to say here

I would try to delete the registry entries manually. I hope you do not have any private info left in your files. I would try to rescue data you want to keep now in case you need to reformat. Make sure you turn off System Restore(it will be infected and turning off purges the files). Good luck

There is available on Symantecs site and on the CD small programs aimed specifically at a certain virus. I would try that. It worked for me.

You might want to check out this site as it has some good FREE
virus removal tools. Might be something in there that will help.
Worth a look if nothing else.
