Hi,

Cloud you give some more info: processor type, any changes you have made to your PC recently: added hardware/installed software .ect. It could be that the FSB for your processor has been changed some how, but we need more info.

This is caused by AMD being a bunch of lying b@$turds. An AMD 2400+ processor ranges from 1.6GHz to 2.0GHz depending on your model 1.6 being a sempron and 2.0 being an athlon xp or mp. AMD bases their ratings on what performance their processor is. So a 2400+ 2.0 GHz athlon xp performs "as well" as the Intel P4 2.4 GHz. It would be nice if they would just rate them right so there isn't so much confusion and just put on it performs as well as so and so. Good luck

If your Bios settings and or jumpers are not set correctly then you will get an incorrect reading. Example: if you have a 2800+ Sempron and do not configure the correct settings it will display as a 1200 "Athlon".
