Wink Hyper Threading

not sure if the problem relates to XP.. here it comes anyway.
I've two machines with 2.8GHz (Hyper Threading) HT-enabled feature. I turned on HT-enabled at the BIOS setting. Somone told me that I was supposed to see 2 processers under windows task manager of XP but I don't. I have XP prof. installed in my both machines. Is that OS problem or hardware problem? Would anyone please tell me what is going on?

thanks in advance.

Hi ... Try looking in the " Devise Manager " area , Go to the following >>> start >>> Control Panel ( in the control panel viewing , have it at " classic view " ) >>> System >>> click the " hardware " tab , then " Devise Manager " Once there expand the " Processors and see if you have 2 listed there , Another way to get to the devise manager area is right click on " My Computer " select properties and then hardware tab follow by devise manager

oh yes.. I see 2 processors there, so i guess it means that i do have 2 logical processors and the HT is running as it supposed to be. Thank you.
