Hello G-Man, I see you're new here also. In regards to your question u can go to Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management, click the + sign in the left pane that says Local Users and Groups and u will see two folders one for Users the other for Groups. Hope this helps.

well i did alittle googling and find that i may not be able to do anything since i have xp home.

what i have done is create a limited account and an admin account. I want to use my admin account to do maintenance on my pc, and the other account for general use, but the thing that has happened is that some of the programs that were installed under the admin account will not work when logged in on the limited account. i tried copying these programs into the shared folder for all users but that didn't work wither,,,, that was the recommendation for the help feature of windows. I tried downloading the winfile.exe but that didn't work either. I don't have the tab in Add remove programs for permissions and access to programs, nor do I have the check box under file options.

I'm really stuck here. I can't figure out what to do. I there a service that has to be turned on in windows to allow this.

Thanks,
G_Man

In "Services" make sure the Server Service is turned on. Go to Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management or Services to turn it on.
