Hello,
I'm running Windows XP pro SP1. Since the beginning (even in safe mode), I have a very annoying problem. I get long delays (5, sometimes 10 seconds) when accessing any files in explorer: accessing means double clicking (computer has no activity - even cpu - while I see an hour glass, then the associated program finally pops) or even copying or cutting "files" (sometimes, for a single selected file, it doesnt happen, but most of the time, it will): there will be a delay before the file is actually selected for pasting.
This is a huge problem for day to day management of files...
I have looked at
http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com...explorer+delay
but it didnt solve my problem.
If I use a command prompt and use, for example, "start <some file>"
instead of double clicking, it will work fine, no delays!
Also, there is no delays accessing any files via the network from a win9x or win2k computer!
Thanks for any help!
